I've had my Golf since Jan 2004, and I've been using biodiesel the whole time. Before the station went in, we had it delivered to the house and I'd pump it myself out of 55 Gal drums. I was in a steel band for years, so I was totally comfortable with that ;-) I got the NOPETRL plate to encourage questions from people.

I love telling folks: Yes - it's veggie oil!

I always feel great turning into the Green Station and fillin' 'er up. You guys are all so friendly... You offer a real community kinship.

Thanks for sticking with it while the rest of the world catches up to the greener truths! I so appreciate your dedication.

Closeup"]Think biodiesel is the medium in some occult ritual involving highly modified mid-70s Mercedes Benz hardware piloted by wiccan hippies?  Well, perhaps there's actually some truth to that, but get the rest of the story:  my *unmodified* 2010 BMW X5 has been running great on biodiesel from the GreenStation for the last two years and 40,000+mi, with no adverse impact to power, range, or maintenance.

Any diesel engine will run biodiesel, and there are a ton of reasons to choose it:  less pollution, longer engine life, better mileage (22-26mpg in my case), and, most importantly, using a product that's made in the USA.  Skeptical about global warming and fossil fuel's role in it?...take that out of the equation, and biodiesel is still the right choice:  reduce our dependence on foreign oil by burning domestically sourced biodiesel.  Why put your hard-earned cash in the hands of greedy/corrupt oil companies who hand it over to violent regimes with ill will toward our country?...support *local* business and brave US innovators who have a sustainable long-term perspective that is good for America.

Do you really think you are paying less by burning petroleum-based fuels?  Think about what this country has sustained in environmental damage and international conflict to keep petroleum-based products flowing.  Invest in America.  Use biodiesel.

“As a conservative republican who values the local community, I would like to make a testimonial to the Green Station and to the use of biodiesel:

The fuel is Made in America (CA and NV) out of soybeans, restaraunt oil, etc. this is huge to me, NOT a Middle East product.

Transesterification, is a long word but it translates into ecology - GREEN.

Car wise, my '06 Jetta TDI runs great on your fuel. I have a theory that Biodiesel, which gives off less or no soot leaves the motor oil cleaner than it's petro counterpart."
